The Flying Fish!  It’s finally here!  Everybody’s favorite!  Nobody’s favorite.  🤣😂😅😐😒😞😔

Maybe some second edition fans loved this one when it was called the Tradesman, not the Flying Fish.  Not a fan of the ship, personally.  This was another massive timesink for D&D’s least popular setting.  As with my other Spelljammer ships, this is made (as best as reasonably possible) to the official 5e specs.  This one is about as accurate to the floorplan as the Lamprey or Shrike, with only a couple liberties taken with the actual floor space due to the limitations of TaleSpire’s comparatively fat walls, and limited angle pieces.  Other than that, it’s full of blah blah blah nobody cares, I love Spelljammer, but only because I overhauled it.  To be frank, it’s hard to muster the will to finish these ships, given the relative unpopularity of the setting.

Anyway, the ugly Fish was my least favorite ship, so it seemed good to knock it out now, so that I still have a couple designs to look forward to.  I do have a variation that includes the vertical sail from the WizKids model, though the official floorplan seems ambiguous as to whether or not the vertical sail is there.  The oldschool Tradesman has certainly no vertical sail, for what it’s worth.

Next up is the Continued Despair of Wasted Time ship.  Another vain trial of willpower.  Until then, enjoy!
