A pack of goblins took hold of an abandoned hunter’s lodge in the forest setting up various traps around trying to protect their new home.

Set your adventuring party on a perilous quest to slay them or choose a mischievous way and let your players be goblins slaughtering all the invaders trying to breach their mighty fortress!

Used Forest Gully – Encounter Map by Baldrax as a base, a barn from Farm Template, Animals and More by AJillustrate and Tales Garden Trees pack by andreguio.

Map uses lots of small hide volumes to alter the state of some traps and hidden passages in addition to hidden signs as minis to help keep track of all of them. There’s a fallen tree with markers on the side you can paste onto hidden markers on the map, a log pile for the log trap and some pit traps on the side if you want to quickly paste some more.

v1.1

  • Now with 20% more roots, leaves, mushrooms and fences!
  • Goblins learned new tricks with two additional traps – net and spiked log…
  • …and took in a furry friend with overabundance of legs
  • They unearthed the ‘treasure’ pile as well, although the smell is quite off putting – courtesy of Baldrax once again with some tweaks
  • And decided to redecorate their little underground camp a tiny bit

    • Thank you for a high prise!
I try to make my builds look as natural as I can get them and will continue to do so, but I don’t see any problem with making simpler boards – not everyone is willing to spend several days to plan, build and decorate a board and sometimes the players will spend just 2 minutes on a slab you’ve spend hours working on and it’s just not viable to make everything that detailed 🙂

      • And sometimes people will eat McDonald’s. It’s still shit food tho, and every food critic will tell you this. And I won’t touch it unless I am starving to death, just as I won’t use simplistic crap boards in my campaign.

Criticism is complicated and most people can’t grasp it.

  1. This is a great map. I have downloaded it in my campaign and will be using it. Note: I was not looking for a secret goblin hideout under the house, so I modified it it bit: I removed the more obivous objects in the undergroun complex, and raised water level such that the warren is now half-filled with water. There is also now a pond in the middle of the map, instead of a shooting ranged. (I also removed the targets.) I really look forward to using it, thanks for sharing!
