UPDATE: I had reports that this map is bogging down people’s machines because of the number of light assets included. I reworked this map to have half the light props, so it is a little dimmer and should not be quite so intense (on exposure or pcs). If there is any other feedback, please let me know.
ATTN: This is a work in progress – I got some interest in the rough draft, so I am posting it so others can tinker with it.
It’s a large board (big surprise), but I think it would fit for a celestial or divine boss fight area.
I plan to have pillars surrounding it like a tower open to the sky.
Man, this is still a major FPS drop placing it down on my board. You should consider replacing the straight line sections on the star signs with the long, flat light bars. Specifically, Light Floor 04, Light Floor 05, and Light Floor 06. I’ve previously made a slab where I did something similar to make teleportation circles if you want a tangible example.
on which part? the straight lines on the constellations or the symbols?
The symbols. The large number of the vertical light bars drops my FPS below 30. Putting a hide volume (set to only hide lights) over just the symbols in the central ring does return my FPS, but it lessens the effect somewhat.
I know it would be harder to get those really nice curves using short straight lines rather than individual points, but at least the straight lines within the symbols could be less lights relatively easily.
Every year computers get more powerful. I don’t think you should keep nerfing your boards. Think with the future in mind.
