In the hostile darkness of the Underdark, a well-lit crossing might seem like a welcome sight. However, this light offers anything but safety. The four-way suspended bridge here has been co-opted by a group of driders. With the help of their spider servants, the driders herd unsuspecting victims onto the bridge and then activate a lever hidden in the darkness below. the bridge breaks into four sections and swings downward, dumping anyone on it down a 100 ft drop onto sharp stalagmites below. From there, the driders can easily pick apart the corpses for food and treasure or finish off any potential survivors.
