Terms of Service

Effective: November 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Cole eVentures, Inc. ("we", "us"), who run Tales Tavern (talestavern.com, the Tales Tavern Symbiote and our related services). By using Tales Tavern you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Tales Tavern is a fan community. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Bouncyrock Entertainment, the makers of TaleSpire. TaleSpire is their trademark.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
  • Keep your sign-in details safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One person per account. Don't impersonate anyone, and don't create accounts to get around a suspension.

What you post

You keep ownership of the slabs, boards, images and text you post.

By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and distribute your content, so that we can run Tales Tavern. This includes showing it on the site and in the Symbiote, letting other members copy and download it, including it in collections and search results, announcing it in our Discord, and making it available to AI assistants that members connect to their own accounts. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already downloaded by others, and backups until they rotate out.

If you choose a Creative Commons licence for a creation, that licence also governs how others may reuse it.

You promise that you made what you post or have the right to share it, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.

Rules of the tavern

Don't use Tales Tavern to:

  • Post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that exploits minors.
  • Post other people's work as your own, or anything that infringes copyright or trademarks.
  • Spam, scrape the site in bulk, get around rate limits, or interfere with the site's security or performance.
  • Upload malware, or slab codes or links designed to harm users.

We may remove content or limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules or put the community at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why.

Copyright complaints

Memberships

  • Paid memberships renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Membership. You keep the perks until the end of the period you paid for.
  • We don't give refunds for partial periods unless the law requires it.
  • We may change prices or perks. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of price changes, which take effect at your next renewal.
  • Subscriber-exclusive content is for members only. Don't redistribute it.

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Tales Tavern running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll post a notice on the site before the changes take effect. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms.

Disclaimers

Tales Tavern and all content on it are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Slabs and boards are made by community members. We don't guarantee that they work in every version of TaleSpire.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Tales Tavern. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50 if you paid nothing.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Ending this agreement

You can stop using Tales Tavern and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, licences already granted for downloaded copies, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law) continue after the agreement ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, apart from its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
