An underground Dwarven Fortress built around a ravine of molten lava and ruled by a Fire Giant. Notable locations on the board includes a mine, a large cavern, a network of tunnels, a treasure vault, the fortress itself, a throne room for the Fire Giant, a lava ravine, a lava lake, a manticore nest, a small smuggling hideout and a prison.

Intended for dungeon delving with two possible enterances: main gate or through the insect tunnel network (Marker Blocks placed at both locations). There are hide volumes for all rooms which are not perfect but should work fine ingame.

Hope you will enjoy the map!

  1. Spectacular build! Lots of interesting areas. The magma falls & wells look awesome, and the stone fortress built into the natural rock feels very realistic.

There are a couple of small gaps indoors and near the mine cart tracks that allow the glowing heat to shine through, but those can easily be patched up. If I were running this I would also add a 20% Warm post effect to make it feel appropriately toasty.

Again, simply amazing work. I look forward to seeing your future creations!

    • Thanks for the appreciation and kind words! I did another once over and filled in the gaps where I could see the light shining through so these issues should now be fixed. Especially the area by the mine cart tracks was quite glaring.

  2. Awesome job, I really like the numerous winding paths you could take to reach a given place on the board and all the height variations – it makes it much more interesting!

I definitely will be using it next time my players will have an itch for some underground exploration 🙂

  3. I hate how we have so few stone work props, you have done a lot with the few blocks we have to use for this style of build. Its a challenge to make things look this good, made easier with a few more shapes and sized assets. Nice work truly beautiful build.
