This is a modified version of Yester Hill, which uses this version of the map as a base (made and published by mateusdags) from here: https://talestavern.com/slab/yester-hill/. The changes made are based off of those from the ‘Fleshing Out Curse of Strahd – Yester Hill’, written by /u/MandyMod on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/CurseofStrahd/comments/ehbt3e/fleshing_out_curse_of_strahd_yester_hill_i_the/).

The changes here are made to:

  • Help make Yester Hill a more interesting encounter, terrain-wise
  • Provide more atmosphere by default (heavier mist, ambiance, moodier lighting)
  • Provide some props and entities premade

Wintersplinter is hidden over an existing tree, and when revealed will intentionally clip into it for an extra glow effect. I would also recommend using Druids as enemies in the staircase approaching the ritual circle, to help build up tension.
