Whittaker Campground, just outside the city limits of mountainous Elkwood, West Virginia, is a favorite spot of teenagers and college students looking to get out of the house or away from school for a weekend trip or a Friday night. Away from residences, campsite occupants can get drunk and rowdy to their heart's content, and the nearby trails offer scenic hikes for those who bring their hiking shoes.
