The Rustline Motel is a dingy, low-budget stopover clinging to the edge of the sprawl, where flickering neon signs promise “Rooms by the Hour” in sputtering red letters. Inside, the rooms are small, dimly lit, and reek of stale air and cheap cleaning chemicals. Threadbare carpets, buzzing lights, and scuffed furniture hint at the countless drifters, low-lifes, and street survivors that pass through nightly.
