Viking Raid – Viðr Munnr (Skald Ep 39)

You’re enjoying a hearty breakfast before your morning chores in your quaint, coastal village. Suddenly, in the distance, you hear a horn blow. You look out your window to see longboats approaching. Shouts start echoing among the village. “RAID!”

This is a map of a small, Norse-inspired village on the coast. 3 Viking ships are making landfall. The intent of this map is a raid battle scenario (whether your players are the attackers or defenders).

This fully-populated village includes:
–Norse Temple: Includes cleric living quarters and large shrine to the Allfather
–Beachside Workshop: Includes workbenches, forge, and a work-in-progress boat
–Tavern/Inn: Fully-stocked tavern on the first floor; 5 guest rooms on the upper floor
–Blacksmith Shop: Outdoor workshop; Storefront and living quarters inside
–Market: Several populated booths, selling various wares
–Stables
–Longhouse: Government and gathering building; 2-levels; Includes living quarters for the Jarl
–Town Square with Statue
–5 Residential Houses: Includes a small farm and a ranch.
–3 Viking Ships: Mast-down version, from my Viking Longships slab.
