The Red Dragons Lair

High in the mountains, lies an active volcano and the center of evil in the world. It is the lair of the fearsome ancient red dragon Syxvorax and his minions. Due to his terrorizing of nearby towns and villages and a general rein of evil, he must be put down. It is no small task to climb into a volcano, let alone one which finds itself infested by a red dragon. Ready your heroes, and prepare for the most epic confrontation they have ever faced.

This is the largest board I have ever made to date. It is filled with spacious and dangerous caverns, tight winding passages, environmental hazards, plenty of traps and space for foes of your choosing. This board provides plenty of potential for PC’s to endure the most dangerous fight they have ever had. Here’s a list of possible encounters they might face:

1. Piercers and Ropers in the cavern areas.
2. Dragonkin of all types (kobolds, Draconians, Drakes)
3. Minions of the dragon (Bugbears, Fire Elementals, Wyrmlings, Mephits, Firenewts)
4. An ancient Red Dragon (Gargantuan)

Areas that can be filled out include:

1. Barracks and training areas for the minions.
2. Barracks for more elite humanoids.
3. A cavern where a previous party was killed.
4. The dragons feeding chamber (with piles of bones).
5. Jail cells and a torture area to get information the dragon wants.
6. The dragons gem room.
7. A hatchery for a dragon egg.
8. The dragons hoard.
9. An escape ramp for the dragon to fly away.
10. The volcano’s caldera.
