The Hol (Skald Ep 23)

This board is from Episode 23 and Episode 24 of the Skald Campaign.

Deep in the deserts of Muspelheim lies The Hol, a secret tinker lab for the tinker group known as the Veraldarsmiðir. Accessed via an ancient elevator hidden under the sand, The Hol is a large lab filled with ancient tech and robotics.

This map is a 2-level battle map with sci-fi themes. Various crates and equipment are scattered across the main floor to provide cover for combat. The map also includes a large robot. However, using hide volumes, you can destroy the robot, with the body landing on the ground and catching fire. This is a feature that never got use in the Skald campaign due to the quick action of the heroes!

The map consists of an entryway with a sand-covered elevator platform, which leads to a large main lab floor with a 2nd-level catwalk wrapping around 3 sides. On the second level is a cluttered office. There are hallways reaching out of the 1st level, however they have been blocked off by sand that has poured in over the centuries. One of these hallways leads to a small storage room that doubles as a sleep room for tinkerers that work late.
