About three hundred years ago a series of lighthouses were built to secure a particularly treacherous naval route in the Asavir Channel, all of them lit by a powerful artefact, kept atop the beacon of the small isle of Asdurr, called the Eye of Syphoning.



A month ago, the fires of Asavir abruptly died out. The Council of Six, certain that something had happened, sent their monthly supply boat to the island early, filled with magical ingredients and an expert mage named Tyl Dirian to figure out what had happened and solve whatever problem was keeping the Eye of Syphoning from working its magic.



However, after multiple weeks and no news from the supply boat or the mage, the Council has decided to hire some capable but affordable mercenaries to find out what happened and bring the lights back to the Asavir Channel.
