Here are ten tanks for your smokey clanky steampunk (or magepunk) setting.  I wanted a break from the endless agony of spelljammer ships, so here are some more steampunk contraptions for your pleasure.  They are deliberately small designs, so that they are reasonable to plop down next to player characters, without being unbelievably (or inconveniently) oversized.  If you like them, but want less steampunk and more scifi, please let me know and I can make some more contemporary tanks.

Tanks 1 through 4 are a standard cannon chassis, with #2 having a WWII-style gunner turret in the “shotgun” seat.  #3 has a cannon angled up and to the right, like my steampunk mech #2, and #3 has a cannon aimed 45° to the right, allowing you to toy with angles on the fly, if needs be.

#5 is a mortar or artillery tank, a box with a big fixed gun that has to turn the tracks to change the lateral angle of its munitions.

#6 was named by Consummate Nerd while hanging out with me on stream, and is meant to be a deliberately comically oversized cannon that can make a number of quick blasts in succession, before needing to scuttle away somewhere embarrassing to reload its magazine.

#7 was requested by my friend Tio, who wanted a more “magic” tank than a strictly steampunk tank.

#8 could be used to spray poison or acid damage, depending on your RPG or wargaming system, and would be a good candidate for letahl short-range area-of-effect damage.

#9 was also named by Consummate Nerd, and was, for me, modeled after the Tesla Tanks that I loved so much as a kid.  It fought bravely in the great Balloon War of Bolivia in 1790, though the technology was too far ahead of its time to make it cost-effective in that humid theatre, or in later wars at the turn of the 19th century.

#10 is a dedicated APC (Armored Personnel Carrier), with a single ball turret in the sideseat.  You might also use it as a logistics vehicle, carrying ammo, gear, or treasure to and fro.

Consummate Nerd also has my blessing to take these tanks to pieces and repurpose/post them for his own uses.
