Rorg’s lair for Dungeon Universalis.

The mansion is bigger than the rooms I populated. I tried to stick to the tiles, but in future builds I think I will take more liberties.
Some of the rooms will be tricky to set up for hide volumes, but it is double walled for this purpose.

I used some forest and mountain ranges found on this site to flesh out the exterior a bit, but I can’t remember which ones. I didn’t initially plan on making the board available, only the manor, but here we are.

  1. Good use of the space you have built, leaving room for the GM to add to rather than photo finish every scrap of space keeps this board very play friendly. Excellent build. Be nice to see some windows on the outer structure, but I know that this is a big ask, feel free to check out my Cathedral for some window ideas, I hope it helps. Really like this one and will be using it in my games.

    • thanks. That’s….not the feedback I expected lol, but I’ll certainly keep it in mind.
As for the windows, there are some but they don’t match the inside. I kind of may or may not have forgotten about them and added them in later.
The 2d tiles I based this off don’t show any. The windows that do exist, are boarded up except for 2 or 3 which unfortunately do not match very well with the tilesets, but I was trying to copy the tiles as best I could.

I really like the windows on your castle and I’l for sure be stealing some of that on later builds 😉

  2. A neat trick is to use the mirrors from the Furnature props and wooden polls/beams to create a prop set that looks like a window then clip that into the walls so it appears to be a window, completely unfunctional but any window in a tile is equally unfunctional only allowing for line of sight through it. Give it a short and see what you can come up with.

    • Thanks, I was focusing on windows that let the light in, that didn’t work very well with the double walls and tilesets.
I hadn’t considered I could add windows wherever I want via props.
I went back and boarded up the inside equivalents now and it certainly gave me some ideas.
Sorry for any inconvenience the update caused.

I can’t get the published url to update, so I had to re-publish with the changes.
