A small stream winding through forested highlands has carved a cave into the sides of a small box canyon. Perhaps a small group of bandits is waiting in ambush, with an archer or two ready to use the rocks above the mouth of the cave for cover… The party notices piles gnawed bones littering the cave floor haven’t been there long, another reminder that danger is never far away while adventuring in Barovia.
I made this slab to use for random encounters while playing through a Curse of Stradh campaign. The combination of a small indoor cave area, and a large outdoor map with a some vertical areas for adventures (or enemies) to use makes this a versatile board for adventurers and GMs alike.
