Potion shop (14×14)

Potion shop, for a small/medium size town
A bedroom for the shopkeeper containing a small mushroom planter and a area to make simple potions in peace

  1. The problem with stuff like this is that it treats a 3D program as if it’s 2D, so instead of giving us a building you’re giving us a floorplan. And it is beautiful, but how are we supposed to insert it in our towns? The thieves will jump over the walls. And if we make the rest of the building ourselves, then your slab isn’t anywhere near as useful as someone else’s who produced an entire building. Of course it’s your slab and you can do what you like, but you are sharing it presumably so others can use it, and I am just letting you know here—in case you weren’t aware—that this isn’t very useful.

    • I think i don’t fully understand your comment, are you saying the map should have a roof? If so, I always prefer to make my maps without roofs, using theater of the mind to “teleport” my players inside the establishment or between one map and another, not necessarily placing all the buildings on a single map.

About the map itself not being useful because there are other “”better”” and more complete ones, for some masters who prefer to create an entire city on a single map, you may be right, but I guarantee that not everyone thinks like you and many will prefer a map with the roof open/””missing””

My campaigns, for example, do not use a completely built city with all the buildings complete, I use theater of the mind and roleplay to build the city, if I need a map for a encounter in the middle of the city I use a “city street” map or “public square” that I have done

      • Honestly, the notion that this delightful map is useless because it doesn’t have a roof is baffling. Not every slab is a finished product and that’s fine. And besides, it probably takes longer to draft a complaint than it would to slap a roof on here if you just had to have one.

  2. I think this is a lovely map and build! Keep up the good work.

There are multiple ways of building maps in TaleSpire and there’s no right or wrong way.

If I were using this map in my campaign I would simply have a building setup in the game without an interior. If the players wanted to enter I would switch to this view. Easy peasy.
