Monster Lair – Animated Object – Aldreth Morgrin’s Sanctum

Nestled in the affluent section of town, the Aldreth Morgrin’s Sanctum is the home of an eccentric and somewhat paranoid wizard from which the home gets its name. It features an elegant stone fountain in its front courtyard that seems to hum faintly with magical energy. Inside, the walls are adorned with overflowing bookshelves, many of which are magically enchanted to shuffle books to their proper places. The main summoning chamber on the first floor has intricate runes inscribed in a circle around a caged devil, its eyes burning with hatred and frustration as it remains trapped until Aldreth figures out how to banish him from this plane. Two other summoning circles lie empty, though they glow brightly with blood magic. The second floor’s balcony offers a stunning view of the stars, and Aldreth often uses his finely crafted telescope for astrological divination.
The least obvious feature of the house is one that any intruder would most regret missing. Throughout the house are various animated objects including several suits of animated armor, a host of flying weaponry and a handful of rugs of smothering. Each of these objects are enchanted to defend the house against intruders. Nothing drives intruders from a home quite like everything of value inside suddenly coming alive and attacking you…
