Type: Mine

So, your party has decided to help the adventurers in need? The party steps through the cave entrance and is greeted with the entrance to an old mine. Up the slope, the can see the remains of an old minecart track, long since abandoned. The mine seems to have been left in a hurry, as if its inhabitants were forced out. As you look around, the party can see that the walkways and pathways through the mine have fallen into a state of disrepair, boards fallen from the wooden supports, and stone crumbling away from the walls. To the left of the main track, there seems to be a small living quarters for the mine workers. It too, seems have been left in a hurry, with many belongings left behind. Who knows what you may find throughout the previous inhabitant’s belongings? From the top of the mine, you hear the screams for help of the adventurers in need, dwarfed behind the towering shadow of a snake figure. As the party approaches, either surreptitiously, or in an all-out assault, the behemoth silhouette materializes into an enormous Titanoboa. Behind the serpent, the cave wall glitters with valuable gems, clearly the reason the miners had set up in this area.  Will your party be able to best the massive beast, and claim the spoils of the decrepit mine, or will the serpent prove to be too much?

(DM Note: The surrounding stone walls are not meant to be climbed, just left open for visual sake. In my eyes, the light is not bright enough in the cave to trigger the effect of the Titanoboa’s scales.)
