Fully populated and lit bandit castle with outer defences. Hide volumes are already placed in the interior of the main building (deactivated for photos). 31 beds in total and a figurine already in place for each one. Two stables holding a total of 11 horses. The idea is that the castle is built into a rocky mountainside, so players can imagine the rock face at the back extending much higher up. Unless your party is very well prepared or highly levelled this is probably going to be a dangerous encounter. A frontal assault is blocked by a portcullis and log gate and there are plenty of archers at ramparts, with one mounted crossbow (homebrewed around 3d6 damage per hit using the D&D system). There are 3 possible side routes that you might tip them off to: on the left, there’s a gap in the cliffside that they could sneak through to get behind the fortress; to the right, there’s a section of partially broken wall that a character might be able to scale; and finally, where the mote stream pours out from the base of the rock, there is a secret tunnel that leads inside the main building.

Lastly, there are three atmosphere blocks by the first entrance, the leftmost one is for regular darkness, the middle for darkness but you players have darkvision, and the last is regular daylight.

This build is my second publication and is actually part two of a questline. I’ll be publishing the first part soon.

P.S. The treasury room is trapped, the lever on the wall by the door unlocks the door but causes the mounted crossbow to fire immediately someone enters the room. To disarm the trap, someone must pull out a hidden pin in the lever and unscrew the handle, revealing a key hidden inside a hollow compartment in the handle. Using the key unlocks the door and disarms the trap.
