An eldritch creature was once locked away in this vault. However, its foul energies have begun to expand beyond the enclosure, corrupting the nearby land. If left alone, the creature will never escape, but its foul influence will spread. The only way to stop its spread is to open the vault and slay the creature, but once the vault is opened, the creature becomes free to escape.
