A large luxury inn. this features multiple size rooms, center corridors for the inn wait staff and supplies, and a well guarded vault where adventures, powerful and rich travelers can place items of great value for safe keeping during their stay.

Your party enters from the rainy night into the lounge and lobby that is warm and well lit with candles. The aroma of well prepared breads and stews almost cause a stomach cramp as you have not had decent food outside of rations for weeks. Other groups of travelers and visitors are lounging on inviting couches and chairs. Some are reading, other are enjoying drinks and meals as they talk in their groups. The walls are adorned with seemingly random and eclectic paintings and piles of shared books and book shelves. Your party is greeted by the Head Inn Keeper at the front desk. He has an air about him that he is relaxed, inviting and shrewd in his business.

Looking at your party that is road worn, dirty and tired he says,

“Welcome to the Travelers Rest Inn, you bunch look exactly like travelers in need of a rest.  We have three size rooms available, all with clean accommodations, food and drink service included.

Small rooms are available for five gold pieces a night, they are just a bed a, place to place your things and a shared balcony.

Medium rooms have a bit more room, larger beds and a desk if you need time to study and a more private balcony. Those are available for seven gold pieces a night.

The top floor is for the Aristocratic suits. those have social rooms, private balcony, food and drink bar, large closed bedroom with the best views. we have two available for fifteen gold pieces a night.

I know that sounds comparatively expensive but keep in mind that does include all food and drinks. We have trained chefs on hand day and night and the best drinks and spirits from local distilleries and vineyards.

If you wish we can also set up accommodations with a more affordable option down the street if you do not wish to break your travel budget but we would love to have you stay with us.”

The Head Inn Keeper begins to talk to the Paladin of the group as they negotiate rooms for your party.

From this point you know that the secret plan will need to be completed in two days as you stay here. Using your underground connections with the rogue’s guild, you know that this hotel has a over protected saferoom in the basement for the rich and powerful to hold gold and riches. You devised a plan with the weird Wizard and the young Fighter because the Paladin and Cleric do not have the moral flexibility to seize an opportunity like this!

The Paladin finishing his “negotiations” with the inn keeper by paying full price for the rooms (plus tip! what a rube!), as the Wizard says to the inn keeper “Sir, Do you have accommodations in the building to take charge of a precious heirloom of mine? someplace safe to keep this from harms way as I am in need of rest and sleep without worry for the next few days” The wizard produces a small ornate locked wooden box that glows slightly from his cloak.

The Head Inn Keeper says “Indeed we do. We have a fully guarded safe room where none enter or leave without inspection. We guarantee your belongings held in our safe, that if anything were to happen to them we would pay out double the value if they became lost, stolen, broken or misused under our watch. To keep an item in the safe it is three gold a night. All you need is to sign some paperwork.” The wizard filled out the forms as some large battle worn looking Inn Guards came from a back room with a open safe box chest with two locks and keys in it. The Wizard paid the gold and placed the ornate glowing box into the safe box chest and the lid was closed. Both keys were turned locking the chest and one key handed to the Wizard as the Head Inn Keeper said “be sure not to lose this, It is a great trouble to get back into the safe box without both keys.” The Wizard placed the key into his cloak and glanced at you to give you a wink and the Fighter gives an almost imperceptible smirk. As the Inn Guards took the safe box into the back room to the safe room, you feel a rush as the plan you three have hatched is now underway.
