The Infinite Labyrinth is all but a mystery to those who speak of it. A legend to most, it is told to sprawl endlessly downwards into the earth and to expand evermore- to bait prospective adventurers to an unexpected death. Inspired by the Shield Maze from Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, this board seeks to recreate the environment of a subterranean castle with plenty of exploration opportunity viewed in a top-down dungeon crawl perspective. Winding hallways and branching rooms will confuse and exploit those who seek to cover every nook and cranny, and some unhappy hosts will gladly sweep away those who make it past the chaff in tight close quarters combat. This board comes prepared for a demonic boss battle at the summit of the labyrinth, and a large water elemental sub-boss on the deepest level. This is the newest board to be made after a long hiatus, some changes in the future may be made to expand or refine the design.

NARRATIVE SUPPLEMENTARY

CAVERN ENTRANCE / MAIN FLOOR
A dimly lit cavern finds its end at a suspicious, marked door set in a sturdy wall of dark grey masonry.

STORAGE & DINING HALL
The side entrance to the Infinite Labyrinth seems to be located in a storage closet for a kitchen. While there seems to be no shortage of food nor pots and pans, some items seem to be well past their use. The adjacent dining hall is a well-lit and warm, with a half eaten banquet laid upon two long tables. Doorways to different areas of the labyrinth are scattered down the hall.

KITCHEN
A warm, recently stoked fire cooks a pot of… something. What little food can be harvested underground or stolen from the surface seems to be mixed and matched in an effort to serve a suitable meal for the denizens of the labyrinth. Cooking utensils, raw ingredients, wine and spirits line the walls and tables in various quantity.

LOUNGE
Past the doorway to the Kitchen is a lounge littered with pillows, reading material and playing cards. A crackling fire warms the room. This area seems to be assigned for leisure purposes rather than being an actual barracks.

ROYAL HALL
A decorated hallway is placed beyond the dining room with aesthetic lighting choices, book cases, portraits and vanity items. A spot for rest sits in the middle of the hallway, likely used by the inhabitants of the labyrinth rather than to stand aimlessly. Three additional doors are present in the hallway.

STUDY
The room appears to be a personal study and comes tailored to an inquistive mind. Research material and alchemical solutions are found throughout the room along with a quaint reading nook.

ROYAL BEDROOM
A dimly lit and richly furnished bedroom.

MAIN HALLWAY
The hallway seems to be the most central to this floor 0f the labyrinth, but crates, containers and miscellaneous items are strewn about. An observant eye may see this area repurposed as temporary storage. Two additional doorways are found here.

CRAFTS ROOM & STORAGE
A fully equipped smithy and carpentry station are present here. It would seem there is much in the way of miscellaneous ongoing projects, mostly housekeeping, but there is no shortage of completed weapons and tools. A break table sits in the far back of the crafts room. The adjacent storage is nearly stripped bare of resources. Another door is present in the crafts room.

BARRACKS

A decently furnished barracks. It seems to be well lived in. Another door is seen on the wall across.

STAIRWAY (PATH TO LOWER LEVEL)
This room, branching from the dining hall, has a wooden staircase down to a lower floor. It seems to be worn out in places. A person would do well to be cautious travering this construction.

LANDING AREA (LOWER LEVEL)
A makeshift storage area, linens and more expensive wares are nestled here. Some rubble is present, but it seems to be cosmetic damage at first glance. Two other doors are present here.

LOUNGE & BARRACKS
Piles of bricks and dust litter what is otherwise an accomodating setup. The lounge and barracks alike are both brightly lit and homely, but otherwise are of little note.

LOWER HALLWAY

The hallway is short, with a shabby portcullis gate to a lower section of the labyrinth. There are two additional doorways here otherwise.

RESTROOM
A bucket and a mirror. Depressing.

STORAGE & BARRACKS
A large storage room stuffed nearly to the brim with items of varying nature, some edible. The barracks are nondescript, and likely the least grand of the lot.

LANDING AREA (LOWEST LEVEL)
Beyond the portcullis gate is a submerged hallway. It is almost knee deep in murky water with debris floating aimlessly through the hall. Despite the water, the structural damage seems minimal and the lighting mostly sufficient to traverse with little headache. Four different doorways can be accessed from here.

GUARD STATION & PRISON
A guard station with torture equipment is present here, although the lack of space seems to suggest most prisoners will simply die here. The prison is just as submerged as the rest of the lowest level yet with thicker and sludgier water. A cavein is present at the far end of the prison hall which may attribute mud and debris to the mixture, althought it could just as likely be the welling of human remains.

ABANDONED LOUNGE
An abandoned lounge is present with minimal furniture. It would seem the area was mostly cleared out, and what furniture that did not get moved is left in disrepair. Some notes on a lingering table suggest this water damage has been a pressing issue for a while, along with the presence of a “visitor”.

CHAPEL
While ordained to no particular god or goddess, the chapel is nonetheless present for the most religiously fervent of inhabitants. It is simply furnished and roomy, but no less submerged in water.

CAVE-IN
The brunt of the collapse in the lowest levels seems to be centered here in a vast chamber. A hulking water elemental stalks the area.

ANTECHAMBER AND STAIRWAY (PATH TO UPPER LEVEL)
The antechamber is drab and uninspired, serving only to access the stairwell to the upper level. The stairway itself seems to be more grandiose in design as if to signify importance of what is to come. Another set of double doors awaits at the top.

SUMMONING CHAMBER
The labyrinth culminates with a pulpit overseeing a large statue, and a hoard of wealth. The room is massive, rivaling some amphitheatres, and is almost devoid of unnecessary decoration save for the center of the room which boasts the intimidating demonic statue of, what can only be assumed to be, a patron god and its sacrifices.
