The Goblin Toll | Low-level Encounter
Slab

Inspired by a comment on Reddit. This is a random encounter for low-level players traveling to a location.
The goblins are standing in the road holding up a piece of wood. They ask the players for a toll, specifically three… no five! Five. They ask for five. It’s up to your players to decide what the five is, be it copper, silver, or gold. The goblins will happily take anything they get and even seem surprised if they’re paid. The players can choose to simply walk past and see if the goblins will try to fight them or immediately attack them. They won’t put up much of a fight and will try to flee the second one of them dies.
Some of the ground covering is from Kay’s Forest or Fields 1 Modular Terrain Set.
Some of the trees are from another pack, but I sadly cannot find it to give credit. If anyone knows, let me know.
I used this in my game and my players want to know who put all the bricks down around the area? They suspect they have been whisked to another dimension where random bricks are laying around everywhere. The Bricks Plane.
