Located on Main Street in the bustling center of mountainous Elkwood, West Virginia, the Emporium of Curious Goods remains a nexus of the mysterious and mystical amidst the the hum drum of modern suburban living. Run by the enigmatic and cheery Hazel MacCleary, this sizeable shop is full to bursting with the occult, arcane, and spiritual.

A long table in the center bows under the weight of alchemical items, from bags and pouches of flora reagents, to various sizes of glass alembics, bunsen burners, crucibles, and retorts.

Crystals and minerals in an aurora of colors decorates the counter beside the cashier, alongside a dazzling display of candles, lanterns, and lamps.

Along one entire wall is an array of live steel melee and ranged weapons, alongside a neatly handwritten “You bleed on it, you buy it” sign.

Down the aisles are a host of items crammed into each shelf, each vying for attention and space. Ritual items, jewelry, home decor statues, chests, and wall hanging tapestries and maps nestle against bookshelves stuffed with dusty-jacketed decades-old manuals, tomes, and books, their subjects covering religions and their foundations, supernatural history, and the basics of magic in various cultures and cults.

The witchy, wizardly, and weird all find a home here.

Atop the Emporium is a comfortable 2 bed, 1 bath apartment that Hazel rents out to help keep the lights on. Separate access is available to both the apartment and the back end of the shop.
