“We process several tons of ore per day, extract hundreds of pounds of high quality iron and make the finest dwarven steel tools out of it!”
The Dura Forge is a location within a hill-dwarf city in my campagin setting. It is a manufactury, that turns iron ore into steel tools. It is also a hazardous environment, that absolutely does not meet proper safety standards. Of course it is an action-set where a big fight takes place.
It features:
- a mine cart and tracks to transport the ore inside
- a furnance where coke and ore go in and molten iron comes out
- a suspended casting device, that is used to take molten iron over to a sand pit where iron bars are poured
- a smithing station where multiple smiths can work simultanously
- a high, vented ceiling instead of chimneys
- an accessable roof
