Tavern/Bridge – The Bridge’s Rest
Slab

The Bridge’s Rest is a bustling yet cozy establishment that spans the width of a wide, gentle river, serving as both a vital crossing and a welcoming stop for weary travelers. Built from salvaged lumber from old ships, the building is rather unique in both form and function.
During the day, the dining area hums with life, as patrons enjoy fresh-caught fish from the nets hanging beneath the bridge, paired with hearty stews, warm bread, and the house’s signature ale, brewed with a secret blend of river herbs. Lanterns strung along the bridge sway gently in the breeze, casting a warm glow over the rushing water.
At night, the staff unfurls hammocks, offering a simple, cheap and comfortable place for travelers to rest under the sound of the flowing river. The scent of smoked fish and spiced mead lingers in the air, and the soft hum of conversation gives way to the lullaby of water lapping against the supports.
Run by a cheerful yet no-nonsense proprietor, Mara Wellstride, and her band of loyal staff, The Bridge’s Rest is more than a waypoint; it’s a place where stories are shared, travelers forge fleeting friendships, and the river always provides.
