Ruins of Thundertree – RKTF Edit

I’ve decided to run the Shattered Obelisk in Exandria shortly before the start of Campaign 2 in Wildemount.  On the way south from Hupperdook, the party will find their way through the ruined city of Thundertree.  It’s an old village from the time of the Julous dominion, destroyed during the Marrow War.  A kindly old Necromancer has been trying to “fix the place up,” but was driven off recently by a winged menace!  Unfortunately, he’s left some of his husk zombies behind.

Now the lair of a green dragon, the underbrush has overgrown the area and twig blights have come alive to harass any who would harm their draconic benefactor, Vilianox, the Venom Fang.  A group of cultists of the Caustic Heart recently arrived with a young woman in their possession, looking to sacrifice her to the dragon as an offering.  But this young woman has a secret, and a destiny!  Will the characters fight the dragon?  Will they release the woman?

Or will this just be the Tundertree near the Neverwinter forest?
