Nimlon and its fabled Tower

"Nimlon is a somewhat remote city in the northwest of the empire. Many centuries ago, an independant city state stood at its place, but it fell victim to the aggressive expansionism of the empire. The former city was razed to the ground and its inhabitants either slaughtered or enslaved. Only the fabled tower remains of the former city, located outside today's walls, as a holy shrine of the sun goddess at its top made the conquerers spare it. Unfortunately it has fallen into disrepair.
The contemporary imperial city (just as its precedessor) thrives on horse breeding and trading, but it is mainly the elite who can live a luxurious life. At the top stands the lord's family: powerful sorcerers who rule with a well established system of terror and corruption. The imperial secret police tracks the population's movements and persecutes any attempts of insurrection. The study and practice of wizardry is strictly forbidden as arcana is considered the nobility's divine and exclusive right.
Resistance exists only in the shadows under utmost secrecy. Though there is little they can do, besides helping escaped slaves to leave the empire."

There are also a number of location markers throughout the map as well as atmospheric preset markers placed near the city's main gate.
