Deep beneath the surface of Mount Skye, the ancient red dragon Colossus spent years sleeping peacefully near his horde, only awakening to defend it from intruders. His young days of terror and scheming were long behind him, and he was content to spend his twilight centuries in comfort.

Unbeknownst to the great dragon, a portal opened in his cave to the plane of shadow and darkness began to seep into his very being. When he awoke after a short nap of a few years, he found himself a being of shadow. Unsure how he felt about his impromptu transformation, Colossus terrorized the countryside with attacks that seem to come out of the darkness itself. With his ability to turn people into shadows under his full control, he has regained his youthful desire to control territory and wage war.

Now the old dragon is forming an army of the night from the shadows of his fallen enemies.
