Denizens of the elemental plane of air, djinn are among the friendliest of genies when it comes to interacting with mortals. They tend not to be malicious or vengeful in their interactions with mortals, unlike other genies, and though they keep slaves, such slaves are generally well treated and thought of as beings deserving of protection and kindness. Djinn are curious about mortals, but generally content to float along in peace, eating fruit and drinking wine.

Here is the home of a pair of djinn. Twins named Waheed and Yaseen. Though they are physically identical, their personalities are quite different.

Yaseen is the business oriented one. He likes to take frequent trips to the prime material plane to trade with mortal merchants there and occasionally release older slaves from service and finding new ones. He never deals with slavers, instead preferring to offer wealth to the slave or their family directly for their service, which usually lasts around 10 years.

Waheed on the other hand has no real interest in business. When he accompanies his brother (which is usually), it is mostly from a sightseeing perspective. He wants to see mortal sights, eat mortal foods and experience mortal experiences. He collects many books on these trips and occasionally purchases a slave that particularly interests him. Like his brother, he prefers to pay the slave directly for their service, but instead of looking for a servant, he is usually looking for something between a playmate and a tutor. His ideal slave is one who can cook, particularly a type of cuisine he has not experienced. He then gets the slave to teach him how to cook their cuisine as well as various mortal behaviors and mannerisms. He also loves learning and playing mortal games. However, he quickly grows bored with his slaves and usually returns them to find a new one after a year or so.
