The Mech Depot buzzed with the hum of machinery and the clatter of tools. Rows of towering metal frames and half-assembled automatons filled the cavernous space, illuminated by the stark glow of overhead lights. Engineers and mechanics, clad in oil-stained coveralls, moved with purpose, their hands deftly adjusting gears and welding joints on the latest mechanized units.
