Journey to the Afterlife

From the land of the living the land you travel across the night sky you travel across the milky way which eventually leads to the land of the dead. Now your spirit must walk the path of souls. Until finally it passes the sacred portal to the afterlife. But passing through is not easy. After a long and arduous journey your soul now comes to a great stream which cannot be forded or swum, and can only be crossed by a log bridge. But the way is guarded by a great spirit dog of which your soul must overcome before the journey to the land of the dead can be completed. This is a test. If you are not worthy you must remain here. On the shores of the river for all eternity camped in limbo neither living or dead and no use to anyone. If you can find your way past the dog then you can pass into the land of the dead. From there your soul can be drawn on by your decendants in the land of the living for consultation or to draw on your power.
