Based on the Norse Trelleborgs of Viking Age Scandinavia.
A Trelleborg is a large circular fortification and their remains have been found across Scandinavia.
The finding of these ancient fortification helped rewrite the history of the Old Norse and cast them in a less barbaric light.
These structures were absolutely massive, and while this build is a big one I’m going to have to build an even bigger version in the future to be even more true to reality.
I’m pretty happy with this build though, it has a small market square, Tavern, Jarl’s Feast Hall with small private temple, outdoor kitchens, outhouses, Barracks, Medium Public Temple, Stables, Private Houses, Multiple Guard Towers, and more.
The market section uses pieces from the following creators, TTRPG Academy, Steveburger, Istallri Astra, and John-Fercher.
The Barracks is a heavily modified version of a build by Ajillustrate.
One of the stables is by Fetischbob.
