Dream Descent 5
Board

Pretty proud of this one. A toxic watery portion of the dungeon (with nice grappling octopuses in the tank in the middle!) holds all the levers for opening the rest of the dungeon, and the group must split up in order to unlock both sides. Look at all those levers that don’t even work! The switch to let people out of the water tank was originally hidden by illusory treasure and some very obvious mimics to scare off the party, and it worked–they would rather avoid the mimics and tweak the levers, taking damage over and over instead of trying to tamper with the treasure. Combined with a pit that continually generates black puddings and the final fight with a Devourer and some wights, and this one nearly broke the party–but they persevered! It ended up being very satisfying. Only downside–a lot of it is played in initiative since the person in the tank is losing breath and getting grappled while the other heroes try to figure out how to progress and free them.
