The tutorial area for the first Dark Souls game is iconic, and with the Dark Souls 5e now released, I decided to create a replica of the Asylum where the goal was to make it TaleSpire friendly.  Many rooms are cut in a way that’s easier for players to navigate the cramped hallways that exist in the map – however there are still some areas that require more advanced camera control to see properly (Such as the area with the first bonfire) This map is meant to be played using the Dark Souls RolePlaying Game rules. If you use this map, PLEASE leave a comment below or like the page, it’s so cool knowing when someone uses my maps and how it went 🙂 I plan on updating this map in the future, with more detail and miniatures with correct health, so keep an eye out and you’ll have a board that’s entirely ready to play in the future here. This build took around 16 hours across 2 days. It is the closest I could get to a 1:1 scale replica, I had the game running at the same time for reference. It is complete with Hide Volumes, but you’ll need to practice with them before playing, they intertwine with each other a bit

  1. Used it for a trip into the Shadowfell. Changed the lighting to be appropriate. One of my players is a Dark Souls player, and caught on at about the point where the Asylum Demon hangs out. Had our boss fight out near where the raven grabs you in the actual game. It was a lot of fun!
