Chinese Style Imperial Palace with two Temples.
Board

This is a fully realized Imperial Palace inspired by Chinese culture, designed to accommodate every function necessary for an emperor and his court. It includes all essential chambers, halls, and quarters, ensuring the palace meets the needs of both governance and daily life. Additionally, open areas allow for future expansion, whether as gardens, forests, or any other structures you require. Beneath the palace lies ample space for hidden tunnels, dungeons, or secret chambers.
The two temples symbolize the dual nature of the dynasty. To the east stands the Temple of the Ancestors, dedicated to the forebears and progenitors of the imperial line. It is a place of reverence, embodying peace, wisdom, and the stability of tradition.
To the west rises the Temple of the Earth and Agriculture, centered around an altar honoring the land’s bounty and the empire’s prosperity. This sacred space is aligned with strength, authority, and the enduring respect for the forces that sustain the realm.
But you can change it and suit each temple to your needs!
Awesome job! I’m seeing a lot of novel ideas here (use of ship pillars, integrating brick, etc.) that are inspiring. I will be using this in my campaign setting! I’ll need to fill in the open courtyards outside the temple, but do you have any thoughts on releasing a second version of this map with this filled in? A lot to ask, but I’m just curious. ^_^
Thanks! I found that the red brick tile set, and some of the ship tiles (fences and floors) merge really well with the shogun tileset!
Yeah, i decided to save the map with the open space to use it sort as a base (and to save progress), but since i will be needing a full city for my campaign, i will make another version, as soon as i am finished with more buildings for the city. (administrative, markets, etc)
Likewise, I found the ship set to make or break many of my builds. I look forward to what’s on the horizon!
