Candlekeep – Court of Air WIP
Board

This is the beginnings of an attempt to recreate a map accurate Court of Air within Candlekeep, using the poster map from pre-written adventure Candlekeep Mysteries as a reference. So far, I’ve made a segment of the wall wall, 6 of the Pillars of Pedagogy and the main entrance. I’ll be updating this as I go along, if I can figure out how
EDIT 1: I’ve added all but two of the remaining building, including the remaining Towers of Pedagogy. The House of Rest and the Hearth both have second stories, though I’ve only really added props to the House of Rest, as well as a few to the Smithy and Stable. The House of the Binder is pretty tightly packed, but that was due to a lack of space on the initial build
I’ll get to the Erudite Outfitters & Clothiers tomorrow, but unless I want to lengthen the entire build, I just won’t have space for the Granary, and as such I really hope that doesn’t feature in the adventure this is for
I’ve also added the Gatehouse along the Way of the Lion and what I assume to be ruins between the Gatehouse and the Main Entrance. Lastly, I completely removed the flooring within the Court of Air and replaced it with what I’m calling Sandstone
EDIT 2: Erudite Outfitters & Clothiers is now built! Since this would be a very small update with just that, I did a fair bit of work on the cliffs surrounding the Court of Air. I also added a bunch of props into the Hearth, House of Rest (Including a Trapdoor into the Firefly Cellar, but not the cellar itself), and the largest of the Towers of Pedagogy. That being said, that tower has nowhere near enough props, so I’ll be adding a lot more at a later date
Once I do that, the map will be complete, unless I decide to add the towers of Candlekeep proper beyond the Emerald Door. But for that I might just steal something on this site and paste it behind, I don’t know
EDIT 3: Props are done! I am happy enough to use this map in my game. I added a few more props into the Hearth (Namely the Clockwork thingy which gives it more space on the inside), I put props on each level of the Towers of Pedagogy, and added a number of NPCs around the map! In doing so, I saw that the Temple of Oghma is supposed to be made of stone, and so I recreated it. I even included the Gargoyles, but I used Minis and not any props because I didn’t really like the Statue options
Inside the little house between the Court of Air and the Towers of Pedagogy, I included Irony, a Teifling Scribe studying at a desk who can be used as an Adjutant and Guide to the Towers of Pedagogy. You can change her out for any of the other options in the book, or even make up your own if you like
