Abandoned Druid Grove

Nestled in the middle of what should be a frozen winter creek grows a large tree surrounded by lush, green vegetation. This was once the grove of a small group of druids who were more scholars than warriors. Together they sought to research new means of harnessing and protecting nature through magic. Through trial and error as well as speaking with the spirit of their grove, they developed a series of wards which they used to protect the home they built beneath the Great Tree that protected them.

However, even their wards and tree could not protect them in the end as a pack of phase spiders found the home. Seeking a warm place to nest, they phased through the wards and ate the druids as they slept. The one room they could, or would not, enter was the final room that protected the book that holds all of the druids’ secrets. There, a beautiful underground garden still protects their lives’ work. Will you be the one to discover these new druid spells? Or will they remain hidden forever in a lair of spiders?

I built this as a short adventure for a druid in my party. I have notes for the dungeon but am not posting them here to avoid spoilers for my players. If you’d like the notes, give me a comment and I’ll let you have them.
