Based on the 7×7 Tower Build by Workshop Panda, the primary purpose of this slab is to provide for well-fitting round towers that can wrap around the 5-foot wide staircase from the 7×7 Tower Build.
The trick to getting a very clean look to the outer tower is to stack the rings by half-floor-tile widths.
