Welcome to the new Tales Tavern
Nov 1, 2026 · by Mad-Wizard-2
The new Tales Tavern is live! Thank you for your patience this morning while we moved house, and a huge thank you to everyone who tested the beta over the last two weeks. Your reports shaped a lot of what you see today.
Everything came with you
Your slabs, collections, likes, follows, bookmarks, comments and badges are all here. Old links to slabs, creators and collections redirect to their new pages, so links you've shared on Discord or in guides keep working.
Logging in
Log in with Steam, just like before. Your account is matched to your Steam ID, so you'll land on your existing profile. After that you can also set a password and turn on two-factor authentication in Settings if you like.
New: post slabs straight from TaleSpire
The new Tales Tavern Symbiote lets you upload slabs without leaving TaleSpire. Copy a slab in-game, open the Symbiote, add a title, categories and a screenshot (paste it with Ctrl+V), and post it. You can add more images and tags on the website later. No more switching to the browser and pasting codes.
You can also browse and search Tales Tavern, copy codes, and Send to Hand, all from inside the game. ### Updating the Symbiote
Symbiote 2.0 is out. To update, open Community Mods in TaleSpire, find Tales Tavern and redownload it. Its name changes from "Tales Tavern Viewer" to "Tales Tavern". The old version still works, so there's no rush.
Beta testers: if you installed "Tales Tavern (Beta)" by hand, delete that folder and install Tales Tavern from Community Mods instead.
Supporting Tales Tavern
Tales Tavern is run by one person and paid for by members. If it's useful to you, a membership helps cover the servers and keep the site ad-free, and Premium members get new features first. Thank you to everyone who already supports it!
What else is new
- A faster site. It's rebuilt from the ground up, with quicker search and browsing.
- The asset library. Browse every TaleSpire asset, and see which slabs use it.
- Better collections. Create, organize and share collections of slabs.
- Creator pages. Follow your favorite builders and see everything they've made.
- Memberships. Existing memberships carried over automatically. Premium members now get early access to new features, priority on requests, and a Premium Patron badge. See the membership page.
