Habe’s Sanatorium and Surrounding Farmland

The first major map from Rise of the Runelords Volume 2 – The Skinsaw Murders. The best module in the adventure path IMO and this is the best encounter. Habe’s Sanatorium is fully modeled but I’ve also included the surrounding farmlands that make up the next encounter in the adventure. I felt it worked better for the party to have to travel through the farmlands to the sanatorium just as the sun is setting. The vibe is bad. They arrive at their destination and have the very disturbing encounter with Grayst Sevilla. The farm and additional murders at the Hambley farm is right outside.

Night falls and a storm rolls in. The party must navigate through the dark and storming farmlands, searching for clues while undead scarecrows stalk them from the cornstalks. My players loved it.
