Ascend The Tower. Inspired by the megatowers of Dredd and Cyberpunk 2077, this board is intended to be used in all manner of gigs and scenarios, or even an entire campaign!

Over 100 individual apartments layouts, numerous businesses and points of interest, and multiple large Set-Pieces (think unique dungeons/raids) serve to create a tower of the dark future with a distinct set of socio-economic strata. It is hard to do justice to the map with just pictures, so download it and see for yourself!

Warning: This map will likely be difficult for computers to run due to the large size and density of detail. If you prefer/need individual gameboards rather than 1 mega-board, the sections of The Tower will be uploaded as individual boards for ease and convenience.

Keeping playability in mind to preserve functionality as a VTT board, this board was designed in high density sections, that each can act as their own board within the board. Below, please see a list of all The Tower’s sections and the details they contain!

Underground Parking
Even in a densely packed Megatower the rich, powerful, lucky, or dangerous need a place to store their rides. Luckily The Tower accommodates this with a guarded underground Parking Garage for a steep price of course. Perfect for secret meetings, handoff, or ambushes!

  • 3 Stories
  • Street Level Entry
  • Guarded/Monitored Entry
  • Mechanical Room
  • Elevator and Stair Access to tower interiors

Entry Foyer

While the imposing presence of The Tower can be seen for miles, the entrance itself impresses just as much with its brutalist motifs. Grand and overhanging, the entry serves to efficiently funnel its thousands of occupants quickly and efficiently to the building elevators and stairs.

  • Garage Access from the year
  • Tower management offices, onsite security barracks, and netrunner vault
  • Fenced in grounds and mechanical air-handlers for the tower

  • Scanning and facial recognition scanners. (Don’t get blacklisted now)

Market Level/Hab Unit 1

Shit rolls downhill, or falls in the case of the tower. Metaphorically and realistically the bottom of the tower, Hab Unit 1 is in the most disrepair and tends to have much lower socioeconomic populations and transient occupants. Luckily the entrance isn’t too far if they have to be evicted. Home to a burgeoning hotbed of popup shops in the center square, where they say you can find anything, or at least a connection to get it for you.

Highway Bypass

Even the investors of The Tower didn’t have enough sway to stop the local construction conglomerate’s plans for a highway through their lot. Leading to the compromise of the highway being built straight through the middle of the tower. Flanked on either side by businesses, the bypass is the perfect place to stage a daring convoy hijacking, assassination or more. Due to ongoing corporate litigation, the area below the bypass has become a homeless shanty town, with both parties denying  responsibility for maintenance.

Corpo Heights

Affording a high level of comfort and safety the occupants of this level had to sell their soul, or more, to the various corporations they work for. Just as any corporate would tell you their is very little distinction between work and personal life and Corpo heights epitomizes this. With a mix of offices and apartments Corpro is basically a new age company town. They say keep your enemies closer, and that’s just what the corps do in The Tower, with your competitor just yards away it’s the perfect place for espionage and subterfuge.
