Swallow Stone Glade
Board

This gnarled clearing, deep within the Churlwood, is a boneyard of stone works from bygone eras. At the center of this wide space, a ramshackle cottage stands, covered in creeping ivy. Somehow, this cottage has persisted for centuries, or perhaps even longer, with each dilapidation being matched by a minor upkeep made elsewhere. At some point in the distant past, a coven of witches struck a deal with powerful denizens of the forest. They worked tirelessly, scavenging good stone from the derelict curtain wall of a long-forgotten Thassilonian fortress. When the impressive ring of stone was complete, the witches imbued their new wall with powerful wards. Since that day, the machinations of fate have seen that the cottage has always been home to at least one practitioner of the craft. At times, these witches have been goodly – watching over the woods and guiding aimless wanderers – while, at other times, the inhabitants have been of a more sinister bent…
A special shout to Yusuf Artun on Deviant Art whose tranquil scene inspired this build.
I used a structure from Gengus’ slab Hazardous Ruins 2 as well.
That’s a very nice build👍👍👍
This brought me so much joy when I saw it was published! Yay! This is gorgeous.
Thank you for the kind words! Took a long time but I’m really happy with the end product.
This is astonishing! Looks so good! The “disappearing” streams into the woods looks so great!
